Microbial Balancing Technology
in action

A series of six short video films outlining the benefits of biological farming methods. Click to view or download.

Regeneration - An Earth Saving Evolution

We are only beginning to understand how intensive agriculture and the widespread use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides has killed many vital living organisms in the soil.

Building Essential Carbon in the Soil

How can we get carbon out of the atmosphere and back into the soil in stable carbon forms - humates and glomalins?

Retaining Water in the Land

Biological fertilizers help the soil to retain an extra 220,000 litres of water per hectare improving soil and plant health in drought prone areas and reducing run-off and flooding.

Soil Health and Microbial Balancing

Biological farming involves balancing the microbes in the soil and remineralising the soil so that microbes can deliver nutrients effectively to the plant.

Peak Oil - Reducing Inputs and Costs

Through intensive farming using oil-based inputs we have mined and extracted the goodness from our soils in order to maintain high short term yields.

Soil Health and Microbial Balancing

  • Unless our food is from mineral rich, alive, nutrient dense soil sources – and production of our food is enhancing the volume and quality and health of the soil – we cannot call ourselves civilized or advanced
  • Biological farming involves balancing the microbes in the soil and remineralising the soil so that microbes can deliver nutrients effectively to the plant
  • In simple terms microbes work by symbiosis, organisms feed each other in a self-perpetuating reaction – MBT seeks to incorporate and perpetuate a system which will fix the problem by itself – organisms each have a specific job capturing energy, carbon, phosphorous in self-organising systems and populations without supervision
  • Fix the soil health and the rest will follow including carbon trading – the health is the wealth of the soil
